On Thursday, April 25 at 4:30pm a virtual meeting conducted by Queen Bee School District 16 will take place via Zoom. The purpose of the meeting will be to discuss the district’s plans for providing special education services to students with disabilities who attend private schools within the district for the 2023-2024 school year. If you are a parent of a home-schooled or private school student who has been identified with a disability, resides within the boundaries of Queen Bee School District 16, and you would like to learn about special education services, you are invited to attend. This meeting will be held virtually utilizing Zoom. If you wish to participate in this meeting, please email Maria Barrios mbarrios@queenbee16.org or 630-260-6132 requesting the meeting link.

Welcome to the Office of Special Services
This office oversees all special service programming that is offered to students from Pre-Kindergarten through 8th grade. These programs include Special Education and Pre-Kindergarten At-Risk.
About 12% of District 16 children access Special Education, from those who need speech therapy to those with profound disabilities needing highly individualized, comprehensive programs.
In compliance with state and federal law, District 16 provides free, appropriate special education services for eligible children who may have a disability that adversely impacts educational progress. Queen Bee School District 16 offers a full continuum of special education and related services to students found eligible for special education and is committed to educating all students with disabilities with children who are not disabled to the maximum extent appropriate.
