Hi. My name is Sophia Osmanski and I am so excited to be your child’s Early Childhood Pre-kindergarten teacher. This year is going to be filled with lots of learning and new adventures, and I cannot wait for the fun to begin. But first, let me tell you a little about myself.

Back in the mid 1990's, I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education.  Throughout the years, I have continued my education and earned an Endorsement in English as a Second Language as well as a Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction and certification in teaching Special Education. 

During the first part of my teaching career, I spent 10 years as a teacher, nine of which were as a kindergarten teacher, so I am very familiar with what your child will need to know to be ready for when he/she begins kindergarten.

After having my second child, I decided to be a stay-at-home mom for a few years with my two beautiful and talented daughters, who are currently ages 17 and 20. Stephanie, my oldest, is a junior at the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology studying to be a mechanical engineer.  She has grown into an amazing artist, musician, as well as an academically talented student.  Allie, my younger daughter, is a senior in high school.  She has talents that are stronger in a more physical sense.  She is a former Level 10 competitive gymnast where she competed at the Junior Olympic level.   A year ago, she decided to move on to be a flyer in a cheerleading program.  It has been quite an experience raising two extremely different personalities!  During this time raising my daughters, I had an enjoyable time being a Girl Scout leader, room party mom, field trip chaperone, and assisted in multiple educational programs at the schools my daughters attended.  During COVID, we added an addition to our family, a very social and silly dog named Evie.

I returned to the Queen Bee School District over 6 years ago to the Early Childhood and have taught all the various programs available within the PreK program since that time.

I am looking forward to getting to know all of the children. I am sure that all of us will learn so much in the upcoming months!  I have been in your shoes, so I know what it is like to be a parent, as well as a teacher.
