Welcome!

My name is Aneri Patel and I teach 8th grade Social Studies on Team 8-2. I am also the 8-2 Team Lead teacher. This is my 5th year teaching at Glenside and 9th year teaching overall. Previously, I taught high school U.S. History and World History in Chicago. 

In the 8th grade Social Studies curriculum will be continuing our exploration of U.S. History. Students finished 7th grade with the Civil War unit, so this year we will begin with Reconstruction followed by essential question-based units that will cover Immigration, the Progressive Era, Imperialism, the Great Depression, the World Wars, Civil Rights, the Cold War, and finally the Role of Government.
