Battle of the Books:
Glenside's Battle of the Books is an after school club that promotes reading through friendly competition. Students read books on the Rebecca Caudill Young Readers' Book Award list:Battle of the Books 2020
Students form teams and work together to read the books on the list. In the spring, Glenside holds a school "Battle" where teams compete against each other by answering questions about the books. The winning team moves on to compete against Marquardt Middle School in our "Crosstown Battle of the Books" held at the Glenside Public Library.
The club meets throughout the school year in the LMC on Wednesdays, after school until 3:30. Join us! Pick up a permission slip in the LMC.
